Horaica is an art-science installation that tries to enhance plants’ capability and understanding (feeling/ seeing) of our local environment through their senses. It does so through a spatial artistic installation that engages with the visitor. The title of the artwork comes from the name of the ancient Greek goddesses who were sisters, the Horai (aka Horae, Hours) who are the goddesses of seasons and natural portions of time. Since the time when human beings began constructing cities, we have included plants in the urban scape. Crystal Study is installation which turns non-perceivable process of crystallisation in artistic light installation. The earth is developed/changed in decade. It is even still developing in every minutes, every second. We can say it is crystallisation.
But for human being it is difficult to sense the phenomena such a global warming in real time. Because it is too long time scale and too small change.
From long ago human tried to observe such intangible environmental phenomena.
For example Stormglass(aka FitzRoy glass) Which developed in 19th century for weather forecast. This device is react with chronological change from temperature, atmospheric electro magnet noise (ref.1), etc which changing in long time scale that human can’t... View Article

Bipolar is a sofa with a build-in vibrator matrix. This vibrator matrix is driven by real time status data of radiation from its local environment and represents it as spatially distributed haptic vibrations. Hence the stronger the local radioactivity the more active will be the vibrations. This project aims to make people aware, fear against radiation and at the same time feel relaxed by spatial haptic groove. If people listens to music, they believe that they hear it by their ears. But the truth is a little bit different. People listen as well by their body via spatially distributed vibration. Listening to an orchestra in a concert hall or in... View Article

As artists we ask ourself: “How could LIFE FORM be synthesized?” Our answer: In the ancient ocean life form has began. In the ancient ocean there were many rhythms and frequencies, such as the waves of the ocean,... View Article
